Medical Bill Investigation

Doctors and hospitals aren't perfect. Studies show that anywhere from 49 to 80 percent of all medical bills contain some sort of billing error. Fortunately, our investigative services will make sure you're not being overcharged. We will perform a medical bill audit to ensure that your share of expenses due is fair and accurate. We'll investigate the accuracy of the charges as well as the amount your insurance company pays. If necessary, we'll negotiate medical bills with your providers to make sure you're paying the right amount – and not a penny more.

Insurance Negotiations

Sometimes health insurance companies refuse to pay a bill, or to pay less than you think you should. We'll review all your medical, hospital, and even dental bills with an eye on your insurance company's responsibly. We won't let them let you down.

Flexible Savings Accounts

Many people use a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to pay for many out-of-pocket medical expenses with tax-free dollars. It's easy to lose track of what's in your FSA, how much you've spent, and how much you have left to spend. We'll help you keep track of all your FSA expenditures and process all applicable claims before the end of each year.

Testimonials

"I was dealing with an overzealous attorney, representing the nursing home my father was a resident of. Needless to say I was extremely discouraged. Billing Angel reached out to the nursing home and provided a contact that I could work with. I knew I needed someone like this to assist me, however I was not sure if anyone like this existed. I do not know how I would have been able to handle the issues without Billing Angel's assistance. They provided an expertise that is not easy to find. Long story short Billing Angel came to the resolution that the bill had been written off as a debt. I literally was dealing with this for close to five years.  Billing Angel helped bring some closure to this open wound. Words cannot express how grateful I am to them and know that anyone dealing with similar circumstances will be as fortunate as I was."

"I was referred to Olga Barone-Allan by my Medicaid, Elder Care and Estate Planning lawyer.  Olga was tasked with straightening out a nursing home snafu for a family friend recently placed on Medicaid.  I was quite distraught and overwhelmed with a $10,000.00 overcharge.  Olga was wonderfully accessible and reassuring during the entire process. I was kept informed throughout her investigation.  Olga's interaction with all parties at the nursing home was courteous and professional.  She had resolved my issue within ten days.  Medicaid regulations and dealing with complicated nursing home billing errors can be daunting for the average person. To know that Olga was well versed in all of that gave me tremendous confidence that she would be able to get to the root of the problem.  She treated me with respect, patience and gave me emotional support.  I would use Olga Barone-Allan again without hesitation. Olga exceeded my highest expectations.  I couldn't have asked for more.  I highly recommend her."

"Although I had the pleasure of becoming acquainted with Olga Barone-Allan, the owner of  Billing Angel, under the saddest of circumstances, she made the process of paying medical and hospital bills, after the loss of a parent, much less stressful and worrisome. It was reassuring to find someone with her expertise to handle the payment of medical bills during a period of grieving. After signing an agreement for her services, I supplied Olga with copies of the medical statements I had received, and she moved forward contacting the corresponding billing departments in our family's behalf. Due to her knowledge in this field, she was able to negotiate the final payments for some of these bills, for which our family was very grateful. Throughout the term of our agreement, Olga presented herself in a professional, yet, kind and understanding manner. She formulates a plan with her clients, keeps you informed of her activities, as the bills are being addressed, and  follows up with the doctors and, or, the hospital billing departments to be sure payment was received. It is without reservation I would recommend Billing Angel as a "Godsend" during a difficult time, such as the death of a family member."

"For six hours, I was in the emergency room of a large and seemingly very corporate hospital, and I was given a single CT scan. I did not have health insurance. I was in that hospital for just one night, but a few months later I was sent an astronomically large bill, one which seemed wildly out of line. Fortunately, my lawyer introduced me to Olga Barone-Allan, the president of Billing Angel. She took my case that very day, immediately contacted the hospital and made it clear to their billing department that I was a self-pay patient. She discussed my situation with the hospital once a week and always kept in touch with me about her progress. After a few weeks, the hospital reduced my bill to the point where I wound up paying less than 5% of the original amount. In all this, Olga was kind, understanding, and very determined, and she worked extremely well with me and with the hospital. I would highly recommend her to anyone who has a billing problem in the difficult world of doctors and hospitals, because the last thing you want when you have a serious medical issue is to have a burdensome financial one as well."
